Glaucoma is a disease that gradually decreases vision over a period of years and finally leads to permanent blindness. Unfortunately over 50% of people with glaucoma are unaware they have this disease.
Predisposing factors:
- Age over 40 years
- Family history of glaucoma
- Diabetes
- Short sight/ Myopia
- Use of steroids
- Eye Injury
